Along with this website, the learning from the Laptops Initiative has been presented through two other media - a book and DVD, both entitled 'Engaging Learners: Mobile Technology, Literacy and Inclusion.'
Availability of ' Engaging Learners'
Copies of the ‘Engaging Learners’ book and DVD have been sent to each second-level school in the country and have also been circulated to relevant agencies. Therefore, please check these sources if you are interested in finding out more. Additional copies may be requested by writing to info@ncte.ie.

The purpose of the ‘Engaging Learners’ book is to provide, in some detail, the practical learning gained from the Laptops Initiative and to illustrate how this potential can enhance literacy provision, inclusion and ICT integration in other schools. Drawing on the work of all the Laptops Initiative schools, this information is provided in sections as follows:

DVD details:
The DVD presents learning from the Laptops Initiative mainly in the form of digital video cases. This can be played in its entirety, or each of the four cases can be played individually. In these, the schools’ accounts of their implementation of the Laptops Initiative, and the lessons learned, is told by the main stakeholders involved – teachers, principals, students and parents. The DVD video content also contains an introduction and conclusion with impressions from other Laptops Initiative schools. The DVD also contains details of sources of other relevant information about learning from the Laptops Initiative.
